London Restaurants Guide - Articles
London Restaurants Article:

In addition to providing on-line booking facilities for a huge number of restaurants within the London area, the guide provides seasonal information about restaurants within the London area, topical dishes and a range of other information. A selection of these articles are featured on the front page of the guide, usually to reflect changing seasons or events that may lead restaurants to offer special menus. We hope that this section of the guide proves to be informative and will help residents and visitors to London to consider alterative menus and restaurants to those they would normally select.
Single in the City
You are single and a hectic life or demanding work means you don't have much time to meet someone or perhaps you don't know where to go to find a possible date. You don't want to project the image: 'I am single and lonely and want to find someone,' but, you do want to find somewhere stylish and sophisticated where you can possibly meet people like you, who are also searching for someone special. Rosalie Garrett discovers where the singles mingle.

When dining out it can be difficult to meet someone, you'd be surprised however, just how many people utilise a dining experience to find a possible partner. Sara Trellis 30, a fashion buyer in London explains: 'naturally I go out to see my friends and eat good food, but I also go to see if I can meet someone. You have a great excuse for being out; you are dining, but often it's more than a dining experience, it's a way to meet new people and perhaps a possible partner without being obvious.'

The main thing is to choose the right venue to go to, a good restaurant which provides the opportunity to interact with others. From lively restaurants blending dancing lessons into their evening, intimate restaurants offering charming bars to chat within, to restaurants with a seafaring flair offering conversational eye-candy.

Vivacious and Vibrant
Though it may not be everyone's cup-of-tea, having a dance floor in a restaurant provides a fantastic avenue to meet people and salsa dancing is a highly sociable dance form! That's why 'Cuba' based on Kensington High Street is perfect. Lively and fun the restaurant offers hearty South American delicacies, which you can burn off by salsa dancing to their live music. This is a highly sociable venue and you literally don't have a choice but to meet others! 11 - 13 Kensington High Street, W8 5NP

Friendly and fun
Having the opportunity to savour some good wine or a hearty Guinness at a highly traditional Irish bar, is another good way to meet people. 'O'Conor Don', offers just that, with a traditional and relaxed Irish dining room and bar this venue allows you to mingle prior to or after your meal. The bar provides unavoidable intimacy with a charming and friendly ambience creating a great place to start a friendly conversation!
88 Marylebone Lane

Seriously Sociable
If liveliness and laughter is for you then 'Anexo' is where you should go. This restaurant heaves with entertainment throughout the week. From the vibrant tunes from resident DJ's to music videos and sporting events displayed from their huge multi media projection screen and even board games scattered on the tables. If you'd liked to be submerged in entertainment with many people to potentially chat to, then this is the place for you!
Anexo, 63 Clerkenwell Road, EC1.

Yet again, I have run out of time and cannot possibly mention all the venues that may get cupid pulling back his bow, however I have to mention the following two: 'Twelfth House' is a great conversation venue, with an in-house tarot card reader, your future in luck and love may literally be secured here and 'Bateaux' allows you to indulge in a magical evening cruising along the River Thames amid people who also enjoy the peace and quiet a dining cruise provides. So if you are single in the city, why not try some of the venues mentioned, you have nothing to loose!
